I passed the
place today :
sales and suits
shuffling cars for
another day of
phones and promises.
The place that night
they found you :
engine hot over
stationary wheels ;
you slumped where
exhaust fumes
had nausea waves
erode 'is' to 'was' .
 
I passed the
place today.
Windscreens all aligned,
the separate frames
of a film of cloud
I long to rewind..........
